Dominican's Support Center

DU currently has laptops for students to check out if they need one. They are trying to prioritize students who currently don't have a computer to work from when home. Laptops will be checked out for 30 days to all students.

Financial Aid & Emergency Funds for Undocumented Individuals & Students

 

COVID-19 AND FORBEARANCE INFO FOR STUDENTS, BORROWERS, AND PARENTS 

The Federal Student Aid is actively monitoring the new coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak. If you're concerned about your studies or loan repayment, please visit Federal Student Aid  annoucement on Cronovirus and Forbaearance

To provide temporary relief to federal student loan borrowers the loans can be placed in an administrative forbearance, which allows you to temporarily stop making your monthly loan payment. 

Internet Assistance

COMCAST'S COMPREHENSIVE RESPONSE TO COVID-19

As of March 13, 2020 Comcast is taking steps to implement the following new policies for the next 60 days, and other important initiatives:

  • Xfinity WiFi Free For Everyone

    • For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.

  • Pausing Our Data Plan

    • Comcast is pausing their data plans for 60 days giving all customers Unlimited data for no additional charge.

  • No Disconnects or Late Fees

    • We will not disconnect a customer’s internet service or assess late fees if they contact us and let us know that they can’t pay their bills during this period. Our care teams will be available to offer flexible payment options and can help find other solutions.

COMCAST: INTERNET ESSENTIALS 

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency, Internet Essentials has increased speeds to 25/3 Mbps for all customers - no action is required. In additional, new customers will receive two months of free service. Visit their Internet Essentials Get Help page at https://www.internetessentials.com/apply
