Faculty and students are automatically granted library borrowing privileges.
Your Dominican ID is your library card and can be used at Dominican University and other I-Share libraries.
Library materials can be checked out at any of our service desks.
Students may check out books for 8 weeks. Faculty/staff may check out books for sixteen weeks. Items may be renewed online or at the circulation desk with a maximum of three renewals.
Reference books, periodicals, government documents and special collections are non-circulating.
The library also has a circulating media collection in our Media Center in the lower level of the library.
Items in the Media Center circulate for one week for faculty and three days for students. Media center items may be renewed once.

Faculty and current students have access to many online resources from any internet computer. The majority of the Library's online resources are accessible from off-campus and available 24 hours a day.
Off-campus access to the Library's online resources is provided through EZProxy software. If you are off campus, an EZProxy login screen will appear. Enter your Network ID and password to login. (Your Network ID is your email address BEFORE the @ symbol. Example: If your email is firstname.lastname@example.org, enter username. The password is the same as your email/DU network password).
For a list of the databases available through the Library, please see the A-Z list of databases. You may search alphabetically, by subject or type.
To determine if the library has access to a particular journal, please search the Journal Holdings. You may search by Journal title, ISSN or subject.
