Online and Off-Campus Learning

A guide for students and instructors enrolled in online or off-campus classes.

Resources for Facutly

Did you know that you can embed a librarian in your Canvas course to provide information about the library. The librarian can import a library module into your Canvas course that highlights resources specific to the subject of the course. They can interact with your students via a discussion board or assignment that pertains to information literacy and research. And of course we are also happy to provide either a face-to-face library workshop or an online webinar for your students.

Contact Molly Mansfield,, for more information.

The Program includes:

  • Library orientations.
  • Information literacy workshops.
  • Sessions on conducting research and using databases in specific disciplines.
  • Any library instruction session that will help your students and complement your curriculum!

For online courses, a librarian can meet with your class using Adobe Connect, a web conferencing service that allows for an interactive session that can be recorded and added to your class portal for students unable to attend the live session.

For courses at Grayslake and Triton, a librarian can meet with your class face-to-face.
