Alumni and visitors have borrowing privileges for Rebecca Crown Library materials. Alumni must present an Alumni card with a current state I.D. or driver's license for registration. The Rebecca Crown Library also welcomes community members from the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS), ELS students, Trinity High School students, Fenwick High School students and persons with catholic affiliations.
Books can be checked out for eight weeks. Books may be renewed online or at the circulation desk. Reference books and periodicals are non-circulating. Lost books will be charged the cost of replacement plus a $15 processing fee.
Computers are available on the lower level of the Rebecca Crown Library to search the internet or access subscription databases while you are on campus only. Guests must obtain a Library Guest Account at the Welcome and Information Desk (WID) on the lower level of the Library or at the Support Center on the lower level of Lewis. The second floor is intended for quiet study. Please respect the needs of all students in these areas for quiet study space.
The Cyber Cafe and tables near the reference collection are available for times when you need to meet with a group or talk while studying. You may also talk on your phone in these areas (though reception isn't very good).
Printing is 10 cents a page. Add money to your account at the kiosk on the lower level. Staff at any of the help desks can assist you with this.
