For over 35 years, Centro Romero has been a community-based organization that serves the refugee immigrant population on the northeast side of Chicago. Our interrelated programs include the Youth Learning and Leadership Program, Family Services (encapsulating the Domestic Violence Prevention Program, the Public Benefits Program, and the New Americans Initiative), Adult Education, and Legal Services.
The mission of Centro de Trabajadores Unidos: United Workers’ Center is to have a powerful immigrant run organization on the Southeast Side of Chicago that will educate workers on their rights, develop leadership within the immigrant community, support and organize all workers as they fight for their rights in the workplace and fight for changing policy that increases standards for all workers. The long-term vision is to offer career advancement and training to workers.

Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), employment authorization, family-based petitions, naturalization/citizenship, U visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions.
We offer immigration legal services to the low-income individuals in the Latino community. We specialize on immigration benefits for survivors of violent crimes in the United States. Our main focus are survivors of gender related crimes. However, we also provide services to other survivors.
Mujeres Latinas en Acción (Mujeres), a bilingual/bicultural agency, empowers Latinas by providing services which reflect their values and culture and being and advocate on the issues that make a difference in their lives. Founded in 1973, Mujeres is the longest standing incorporated Latina organization in the nation. Over the years Mujeres has developed a comprehensive array of social services and advocacy initiatives that promote non-violence, reproductive health and leadership development. Mujeres offers services that support all programs, which include general intake, volunteer training and childcare. Childcare is provided for clients while they are receiving services.
