Self- Isolation & Mental Health

In these "Corona-times," most of us are self-isolating as much as possible. Humans are not built for prolonged isolation, so self-isolation can really take its toll on our mental health and general well-being. It is also taking its toll by causing us grief, as important events get canceled, some of us have lost our jobs, and even if we haven't yet lost anyone to this disease, we grieve in anticipation of someone we love possibly falling gravely ill.

This page will provide you with a list of suggestions and options of things, along with some explanations as to how those suggestions may help you, that you can do to stay as mentally healthy as you can, while we do our part to fight this pandemic by staying home.

If you are feeling particularly bad, please reach out to your therapist or primary care provider, if you have one, or contact the Wellness Center, either by phone or online. Their phone number is (708) 524-6229.

You may also contact the Wellness Center online.
