Layout and Features - Overview

How is this section structured?

To start this section will begin with a brief overview of where things are generally when you open a new project in Studio One 6. Then each sub page on the left side under Layout and Features will have a breakdown of each section listed below.

Overview

When the user opens a blank project in Studio One you will be greeted with a similar screen as the one pictured above. There are five sections that have been numbered that are the key areas of interest. A brief description will be placed below, but for more detailed information see the tab for the appropriate area. 

1. Track List -  A new audio tracks are recorded/inserted they will appear here.

2. Cursor Based and Track Wide Controls -  This section is where tools that are control with the mouse cursor are located, as well as a few project wide controls.

3. Browser - The browser allow the user to view different virtual instruments as well as effects and loops that can be dragged and dropped into the project.

4. Viewpoint tab - Allows the user to show/hide the browser, mix controls, and editing windows.

5. Transport controls - These controls affect how the user moves around the audio project, with things such as play, pause, skip forward, restart, and loop.
