Course reserve is a library service offered to instructors to provide your students access to materials needed for class. You may place items owned by the library or personal copies of books and media on reserve. You may choose a two hour (Library Use Only), 1 day or 3 day loan period.
The reserve book collection is located at the circulation desk on the first floor of the library. The reserve media collection is located in the Media Center on the lower level of the library, Crown 008)
To place books on reserve for your course, please complete the Instructor Reserve form, print it, sign it and return the form with the items you would like placed on reserve to the circulation desk on the 1st floor of the library. If Dominican University does not own the title, you may place a personal copy on reserve or request the library purchase the item. If you would like the library to purchase the item please see https://research.dom.edu/forfaculty/acq for more information. Please complete the Instructor Reserve form, indicate you have requested purchase and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Books borrowed from other libraries may not be placed on reserve.
Please allow 5 business days for items to be available on reserve.
All items will be removed at the end of the semester. A new form must be submitted each semester.
