The McGreal Center relies upon donations of archival material, volunteer labor, and financial gifts. If you are interested in donating your archival collections or published works, please email mcgrealcenter@dom.edu, or call the Archivist at 708-524-6546.
The McGreal Center collects material that documents the history of the Order of Preachers in the United States. This includes the organizational, personal, and professional records, papers, and collections of Dominican nuns, friars, sisters, and laity. The Center also accepts items that facilitate research for Project OPUS, a multi-volume history of the Order of Preachers in the United States. The Center requires a deed of gift agreement to be completed by the donor/representative, Archivist, and the Director.
We are committed to supporting the responsible stewardship of the records of Dominican sisters and nuns, through either collection or counseling. Please reach out to us if your community is in transition, and you are seeking a permanent home for your archives.
If you are interested in volunteering, or arranging a practicum project for course credit, please contact the Archivist at mcgrealcenter@dom.edu, or 708-524-6546.
