Portions of our archival collection are available to researchers. Once you have registered with the Archivist, she will assist you in accessing materials for your research. Because archival materials are unique, one-of-a-kind resources, we ask that you handle them with great care so that they will continue to be available into the future.

Not Permitted in the Research Room
• Pens
• Food or beverage of any kind. You may store food and backpacks in our kitchen.
General Procedures
1. Discuss your research interest with the archivist or librarian on duty to determine what materials you will want to access
2. Archival boxes can be made available one at a time
3. Please maintain loose papers in their original order
4. Gloves may be required for handling certain materials
5. Photocopies or scans may be requested from the archivist or librarian on duty. Please be aware that not all materials are suitable for copying or scanning. A small fee may be charged for each copy or scan
6. Images may not be published or broadcast in any media or displayed online without the prior written permission of the Director of the McGreal Center for Dominican Historical Studies.
Our books and periodicals are non-circulating. This means that we welcome you to read them with us onsite, but you will not be able to take books or magazines home with you. We are happy to set aside books that you are reading for easier access during your next visit.
