Assistants, volunteers and interns get the opportunity to:
Graduate students attending Dominican seeking their certification in Archives and Cultural Heritage Resources and Services may be interested in completing their practicum hours through the Archives! Students will receive archival training through records management, archival research, collection processing, digital collections care and maintenance plus much more! Spaces are limited, so for those interested please fill out the form below and the Archives will contact you as soon as possible! For those not attending Dominican University, volunteer work is highly encouraged within the Archives! Volunteers and Interns would still accrue valuable knowledge and insight towards helping preserve the history of Dominican University while also gaining skills in archival practices and preservation techniques. If you’re a full time undergraduate or graduate student interested in a paid student worker position in the Archives, check out Dominican’s Career page. There are plenty of Intern and Assistant positions posted through here are that routinely updated every semester. For further questions pertaining to on-campus student employment, contact The Office of People and Culture who are available to help students with applying and completing new hire paperwork.
