Interlibrary Loan and I-Share at Dominican

This guide provides information on how to request library materials from outside Dominican.

I-Share requests made through the Rebecca Crown Library catalog can be found in your library account. The first step in managing these requests is to sign into your library account. This can be done from the homepage and from within the catalog.

Easily access your account from the homepage of the library. Select Library Account from the Using the Library drop-down menu.

Sign in using your Dominican credentials.

If you are already in the library catalog, you will be prompted by yellow boxes to sign in:

Follow the blue hyperlink to sign in, OR: in the top right corner of the catalog, there is also a Sign In button

Sign in with your Dominican credentials.

Your Library Account

Once signed in, you will see your name in the top right corner of the screen. Click your name and a drop down menu will appear. Select Library Card to view your account activity.

This page is where you can view your Rebecca Crown Library and I-Share loans and requests. Everyone's accounts will look differently here. Below is an example of a user account:

This user has items checked out from two institutions: the two that have the clipboard with a check mark next to them (Dominican University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign).

Dominican University is highlighted in the left menu, meaning this is a Dominican University book. To see the other book checked out, select the other institution with the clipboard check mark.

Selecting University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will show the information for the item ordered from that institution. Again we can see in the left menu the institution is now highlighted and "Dominican University" is plain text.

The other schools listed are places of old I-Share requests. You can limit the left menu to only see libraries actively lending to you by using the filter above the menu. Select Has Activity from the drop down filter.
