Interlibrary Loan and I-Share at Dominican

This guide provides information on how to request library materials from outside Dominican.

Requesting I-Share Books

The I-Share system is used when a user needs a book that is not in the Rebecca Crown Library collection. You can find and order I-Share books directly through the Rebecca Crown Library. Requests and loans are managed in your library account.

The library catalog will tell you if a book is not available, and if you can order it through I-Share. This goes for items not in the collection at all, or items currently checked out to another user. Start by searching for a title in the catalog search bar. After selecting the title you need, an information page will pop up.

This title is in the Rebecca Crown Library collection, but it is "Not available" and "Out of library."

By selecting I-Share in the "Get It" section, an already filled out request form will appear. This form takes a minute to load, so please be patient.

Scroll the form down until you reach "Preferred Local Pickup Location," which has a drop down menu. Select Rebecca Crown Library.

Select the green Send Request button to finish your I-Share request. Your requests can be immediately seen in your library account.
